Mechanical Maintenance Manager - Baytown, Texas
Responsible for improving mechanical reliability and reducing unplanned downtime of the plant
managing predictive and preventive maintenance programs, overseeing time and material projects, managing contractors, managing work order schedules, analyzing failure codes, deciding critical parts, and managing spare parts. 
Ensuring compliance with relevant equipment specifications, applicable codes, construction standards for equipment installation and operations.

Must be able to • Implement/refine Maintenance Programs (RBI Inspections, Testing, PM’s, Procedures, etc.) for all Plant equipment to improve Plant Reliability • Assess equipment failure (including Root Cause Analysis), develop work scopes, and facilitate repairs and improvements. • Research, develop, implement, and oversee PSM Mechanical Integrity programs that ensure compliance. • Understand all aspects of fixed and rotating equipment, metallurgy, lubrication requirements, alignment, vibration analysis, etc.  • Coordinate repairs, routine maintenance, and PM activities for Plant shutdowns (including procuring and managing contractors). • Understand and follow ASME and API guidelines. • Propose, develop, and lead plant capital projects to improve plant reliability, safety, and environmental compliance.

  • Minimum requirements: Mechanical Engineering degree with at least 10 years of maintenance experience in a petrochemical plant.
  • Project Management software experience and use
  • Working knowledge of instrument and electrical and electrical power distribution

Plant Engineer - Baytown, Texas

Plant Engineer manages Time and Material projects, contractors, work order schedules, analyzes failure codes, determine critical parts and manage spare parts.

Plant Engineer is responsible for administration and organization of the Mechanical Engineering aspects of the Baytown Plant Predictive and Preventive Maintenance Programs in general and specifically to the items that have been identified as Mechanical Integrity or Quality Critical Equipment. Plant Engineer is responsible for ensuring compliance with the relevant equipment specifications, applicable codes, and construction standards for equipment installation and operations.

Operations Manager - Pasadena, Texas

The Area Operations Manager directly managers day-to-day operation and is accountable for ensuring reliable and cost effective operation of assigned processing areas including multiple process units, logistics, and utilities where the department includes operations supervisors and operators.  The Area Operations Manager is a key member of leadership and as such is instrumental in establishing and promoting a culture focused on safe, environmentally compliant, and reliable operations.  This role provides oversight for the overall operation, sets priorities for personnel safety, process safety, environmental, reliability; and directs efforts of support staff including maintenance planning & execution, turnarounds, capital projects, and technical support.  This role evaluates plant performance, implements recommendations for reliability improvements and cost optimization, and champions initiatives in support of long term sustainable profitability of the plant.     


HSE Director - Baytown, Texas

Candidate needs to have a Chemical Engineering degree or Environmental Management degree, minimum 10 years of experience in a petrochemical plant, and minimum 5 years in environmental management.
This person is responsible for providing guidance to management in environment protection, personnel health and safety, and community wellbeing. Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to comply and exceed related regulations. Time demands are 80% environmental and 20% safety. Collect data and report the daily/weekly/monthly environmental and safety metrics for the plant. Manage various environmental and safety audits and inspections.

​This position reports to the plant manager and has Safety Superintendent reporting to this position.


Sr. Laboratory Scientist - Houston, Texas (Energy Corridor)

Our client is seeking a Senior Laboratory Scientist to join the Asset Performance & Integrity Division of the Refinery Engineering Department.
The Asset Performance & Integrity Division is responsible for providing required engineering support for the Refinery Complex by assuring integrity, performance and quality of plant assets by monitoring Quality of finished products, process and utility streams as per international and SA specifications.
The Senior Laboratory Scientist primary role is to coordinate activities of assigned section of the Laboratory
As the successful candidate you will have:

  • A bachelor degree in chemistry/science/engineering from a recognized and approved program.
  • A minimum of twelve (12) years relevant refinery laboratory experience, including five (5) years at senior level in the area of specialization. A master degree preferred.
  • Experience in Laboratory operations in a refinery laboratory with CDU/VDU, Hydrocracker, Diesel Hydro treater, Naphtha Hydro treater, Aromatics complex, Sulphur recovery units, Utilities.
  • Experience handling testing of gasification unit, tail gas treatment unit, IGCC SRU.
  • A track record of successful management of a team of chemists in the laboratory.
  • Demonstrated experience in oil refinery lab test procedures including ASTM, UOP, Shell and APHA methods of analysis.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Computer literacy with competence in Microsoft Office products (i.e. MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint).​
